What happens when my booking gets declined or expired?

When you submit a booking request, we do not charge you immediately. We only authorize the booking amount to your payment method to make sure that the accounts are valid.

You will only be charged when the Host has accepted your booking request.

If your request is declined or expired, we do not complete the charge and any authorization is released. In general, authorization voids and refunds issued to credit cards can take 5-7 business days to be reflected on your statement after they are processed. Some voids issued to international cards occasionally take up to 30 days to be reflected. Refunds issued to PayPal accounts occur within 24 hours.
